On Sunday 28th May, I was lucky enough to attend the Harper’s Hats High Tea Event at Electric Bar in Cork City. To say I was beaming with pride for my gorgeous, talented friend Lesley would be an understatement! Particularly as we had both attended the Eimear Varian Barry Event at Electric Bar just a few short months ago and now Lesley was back here hosting her very own Event in front of a Special VIP Audience!
The attention to detail for Harper’s Hats High Tea Event was second to none. From the beautifully designed Invitations created by Avril of Couture Wedding Cards to the amazing Floral Arrangements by The Village Florist Castlemartyr to the scrumptious Electric Bar High Tea organised by Lesley and Virginia Foley of Brand Wagon – it was just an incredible afternoon of Fun, Food and Fashion!
The stunning Helen Queally of the Daily Diva Diary was MC for the afternoon and aswell as giving us plenty of laughs, she also provided us with details of the headpiece styles, shapes and colours that were specifically created by Harper’s Hats to suit each outfit for the Fashion Showcase. The Event was photographed by Nathan Burke and although I spent the afternoon avoiding his camera (I’m a craft blogger not a fashion one!!!) he has an exceptional talent for capturing natural shots as seen above!
To see all the show stopping outfits modelled on the day, search the hashtag #harpershatshightea on Instagram. Boutique collaborations included Marie of Bella, Vicki of It’s So Me, Pauline of Ivory Lane, Liza of Phoenix V, Maeve of Love Cherish and Marion Murphy Cooney.
It was so great to catch up with the lovely Natasha, to meet all the fabulous boutique owners and fellow business women above and to see such stylish ladies as Vivienne McCarthy, Justine Kinirons, Paula Grainger, Jean & Sharon, Leeann, and the newly crowned Miss Kilkenny Niamh de Brun. It was a pleasure to be in the company of such positive, uplifting women who know that incredible things happen when Women Support Women!
I am 100% confident that Harper’s Hats are going to be HUGE in the Millinery World! Lesley and Patsy’s creations are just exquisite, even after wearing a bespoke Harper’s Hats headpiece myself to a Wedding last March, I was still blown away seeing all the other designs in person.
If you are attending any of the Ladies Days this year, I would highly recommend booking in with the girls to get an up close and personal viewing of their designs – you will not regret it!
Myself and Lesley are hoping to attend Ladies Day in Killarney on the 20th July so if anyone would like to come along get in touch with us and we’ll make a great day of it!
Thanks for stopping by x
